Tranquil Escape in Tranquil New Mexico

By Jake Levin

Jennifer Selph feels relief from relieving your pains.

A licensed massage therapist (LMT), Selph loves nothing more than seeing people climb off of her massage table at Tranquil Escape with a sigh of relief that they are no longer in pain. Conveniently located Albuquerque, N.M., Tranquil Escape possesses a healing and relaxing vibe with whatever treatment you need to get right.

"I take the time to get to the bottom of the issues creating the pain," Selph said when asked why someone contending with long-term physical pain should visit Tranquil Escape.

There are five different types of massage treatment offered at Tranquil Escape, including Swedish, therapeutic, sports, medical and geriatric. Benefits of these treatments can include a reduction in pain, reduced stiffness, a decrease in motion limitations, reduced muscular and emotional stress, increased flexibility, increased blood flow and enhanced soft tissue healing.

"My goal is to assist people with pain relief," Selph said.

Tranquil Escape is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The hours are based on appointments only. A variety of treatment packages are available based on the time allotment for your specific massage, with discounts available for seniors.

"At Tranquil Escape each client will be provided with a relaxing and caring environment with treatments that are tailored to their individual needs," reads Tranquil Escape's website, "We provide professional relaxing, therapeutic, and medical massage services in order to provide clients with a variety of benefits."

There is a blog within Tranquil Escape's website which offers various tips and pointers on how to best take care of your body. The caption above the blog states that "Massage is a necessity disguised as a luxury."

Tranquil Escape is located at 10301 Comanche Rd. Northeast (Suite 4) in Albuquerque.
