Radish & Rye Shares Their Passion For Farm to Table Dining with the Community

If you ask the owners of Radish & Rye, they'll tell you they're more than just a restaurant. To them, the unique eatery is an expression of their own passions- their values, creativity, and love for the community in which they grow, work, and live in.

Dru Ruebush, owner of the Santa Fe establishment, refers to Radish & Rye as a labor of love. "Here at Radish & Rye, our mission is to share our love for food and drink through our Farm Inspired Cuisine," he states, explaining the drive behind the eclectic establishment.

But what exactly is Farm Inspired Cuisine?

"It's our way to describe delicious food and drinks made with local ingredients whenever possible," Ruebush details. "Because we are passionate about fresh food and proud to support local farmers and ranchers, our menu changes with the seasons." Ruebush tells us that there is nothing more inspiring to their chef than fresh, high-quality meat and produce. "He uses it to create tasty, nourishing meals," he explains.

But, it's not just the Radish & Rye chef finding inspiration in local ingredients. "Our bartender, too, is passionate about local harvests, and our commitment to local agriculture extends into our bar," Ruebush announces. The eating establishment has an impressive list of local partnerships to garner the fresh ingredients for its inventive menu. Some of these include companies such as Sweet Grass Co-Op Beef, Kyzer Farms, Naturally New Mexico, Sungreen Living Foods, Montes Vista Organic Farm, and Red Mesa Meat- just to name a few. When it comes to the dining environment, Radish & Rye really stands apart from their competitors. In addition to a highly attentive wait staff, you'll find an ongoing theme of casual elegance. "Radish & Rye is a fun, lively spot where you can enjoy an evening of great food and drinks, get great service, and have an experience you won't find anywhere else," exclaims Ruebush.

Currently, the Radish & Rye holds several awards and recognitions for its truly unique approach to dining, including the Edible Santa Fe Local Hero award and current holder of the Diner's Choice award from Open Table.

Of course, it's more than just great service and a distinctive theme that helps put Radish & Rye on the map. "Our cuisine is unique to the area," states Ruebush. "If you're savvy, you'll notice a slight Southern twist to our menu." When it comes to your first time trying out the Radish & Rye menu, Ruebush has a little suggestion. "I always recommend the fried green tomato and the pork chop," he says. "Both items feature all local ingredients and truly showcase our mission."
